brand guidelines for Straits Pride Advocacy Organization

The purpose of the Cascade Thornapple River Association (CTRA) is to protect and perpetuate the natural resources in and around the Thornapple River, Grand Rapids, Michigan from the Cascade Dam south to the Alaska Bridge (68th Street).

CTRA needed a better, modernized way to keep their members informed and up to date on their dues. This project included a logo design, HTML website and social media page creation. CTRA now has a mobile-friendly site that points members to events and donation drives. They also have over 100 followers on Facebook that have been added to the loop.

Logo

CTRA didn't have a working logo to start. We mocked one up that personified life on the Thornapple River and chose colors to match.

Web Design

The old website was hard to navigate and read. It was also not mobile friendly. In the new version, we created an easy way for members to gather the latest events and updates. Calls to pay dues are located on each page, and an easy PayPal integration means members can pay online.

Social Media Page

A Facebook page was created and branded to reach existing members and potential new ones. We were able to garner over 100 followers in the first two weeks. Events have been added, giving members an easy way to see announcements, attendance and details on CTRA sponsored community events.
